Job growth is slowing down and job opportunities are evaporating. In fact, job losses today are the worst in five years according to an article from NYTimes.com. The decline is seen to fuel recession anxiety which may negatively affect the lives of the people.

The US Bureau of Labor and Statistics has admitted that job growth has weakened across every industry, except for healthcare and government that remain as competitive and secure as ever. The private sector, for instance, has already cut 101,000 jobs.

Whether to care or not with respect to this reality is a judgment call on the part of the public. Job seekers, particularly new graduates will surely have a hard time dealing with this abrupt change in the employment market.
